Position Overview:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely transporting goods, products, and/or food from the warehouse space or vendor to the school. They play a crucial role in ensuring timely and accurate delivery while providing excellent customer service. This job is typically 10-15 hours a week, with a 2 hour minimum shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
Operate personal vehicle safely and in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
Adhere to safety standards and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Pick up goods from the warehouse or vendor and follow the hotsheet (route) for delivery.
Deliver school lunches or products in a timely manner.
Use Google Maps or maps to navigate unfamiliar routes and avoid delays.
Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, including greeting customers and answering any questions they may have.
Handle deliveries with care and attention to detail to ensure the integrity of the goods.
Report any delivery issues or discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in customer service, food service, hospitality or related fields is preferred.
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people, including students, faculty, and staff
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work well with school staff, students, and other team members.
Flexibility to work morning and afternoon hours, as scheduling will depend on each individual school’s needs. Most positions will be part-time (10-15 hours per week)
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for meal deliveries
Listed as an insured party for your vehicle
Clean driving record
Ability to pass a background check

Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
ServSafe certification is preferred but not mandatory; can be obtained once employed
Flexibility in working hours, as the schedule may vary based on business needs.
