Position Overview:
The Yay Cafe Lunch Coordinator position ensures well balanced meals are provided to schools daily through daily vendor partnerships and lite food prep. Team members will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging dining experience for students, faculty, and staff where Yay operates all day. The hours for this position range from 10-12 hours per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Pick up goods from the warehouse or vendor and follow the hotsheet (route) for delivery. Clean and sanitize work areas, such as sinks and storage areas, to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Communicate effectively with school staff, local vendor partners and Yay team members to coordinate lunchtime operations and address any concerns or issues
- Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure meals are safe and properly handled
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while representing Yay as a Lunch Coordinator, promoting the company's values and mission.
- Assisting with distribution of lunches (when applicable).
- Utilizing various applications including our Yay branded hotsheets, Slack, and Bamboo HR.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in customer service, food service, hospitality or related fields is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with diverse groups of people, including students, faculty, and staff
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well with school staff, students, and other team members.
- Flexibility to work morning and afternoon hours, as scheduling will depend on each individual school’s needs. Most positions will be part-time (10-12 hours per week)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for meal deliveries
- Listed as an insured party for your vehicle
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check

- Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- ServSafe certification is preferred but not mandatory; can be obtained once employed
- Flexibility in working hours, as the schedule may vary based on business needs.
Compensation:
- $18.00 per hour
- Data stipend
- Mileage reimbursement (when delivery is required)
